Mr. Richard A. Coffey, CPA
Director of Internal Audit

Richard A. Coffey, CPA, is a dedicated professional with more than 35 years of experience including governmental and corporate internal auditing, governmental external auditing, financial consulting, corporate accounting, and operations management. Richard started his career at Cullen & Danowski, LLP in January, 2007 as an Audit Manager and now serves as the Director of Internal Audits. His responsibilities include managing client engagements, developing staff, fostering client relationships, providing various types of reports, and working collaboratively with clients to effectuate positive change.

Previously, he was a Manager at BearingPoint Corporation, a worldwide leader for business consulting. Richard was a key organizer of the world-class finance group where he specialized in process reengineering, systems implementations, and project management. Before that, he held positions of increasing responsibility within the internal audit department of the Dun & Bradstreet Corporation. Richard supervised audits throughout the U.S., Europe and South America for a wide range of subsidiaries. He started his career at Donnelley Directory, a major sales company, holding multiple positions in the accounting and budgeting areas.

Richard holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and Business Administration from the State University of New York at Albany.
