Donald J. Hoffmann, CPA, a graduate of New York University, became a licensed CPA in 1982. He began his career in public accounting with Ernst and Whinney before joining CA, one of the world’s largest management software companies. In the mid 90’s he was Vice President of the Internal Audit Department and participated in audits in the U.S., Asia, and Europe. Subsequently, Donald was the Chief Executive Officer of Protocall Technologies, a development stage software distribution company. In 2006 he joined our Firm as an Internal Audit Manager before being promoted to Partner in 2010.

Donald has successfully developed our internal audit practice by focusing on adding value to the internal audits we perform for our clients. An accounting professional with strong technical and investigative skills, he has broad experience in advising and consulting on the application of accounting and auditing standards. He shares his knowledge and expertise by frequently guest speaking for both Eastern and Western Suffolk BOCES, as well as the New York State Association of School Business Officials.

His dedication to the community includes having served on the Board of Directors of the Three Village Soccer Club, which served over 1,700 children in the Stony Brook area, and he also previously served on the Board of Directors of Community Programs Centers of Long Island, a not-for- profit organization that provides day care services for the young and the elderly. Donald recently served as Treasurer of Kids Clubhouse, a not-for profit organization providing before and after school care for children.
