Alan Yu, CPA, received his MBA degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo, and started practicing public accounting in 1990. He began his career with a municipal accounting and auditing firm in White Plains, NY. After a few years, Alan joined our Firm as a Senior Accountant in 1993 and quickly advanced to Partner.

Alan is a highly skilled professional who is up to the challenges of even the most complex engagements. He has worked on various types of engagements, ranging from auditing to consulting. He has also assisted the New York State Education Department by providing special accounting oversight services related to a school district. In addition to auditing local governments, Alan has extensive experience in not-for-profit accounting and auditing.

Alan often shares his knowledge and expertise by guest speaking for Western Suffolk BOCES. He has also lectured for the New York State School Boards Association and presented webinars on its behalf. Additionally, he has presented for the New York State Association of School Business Officials, and at both internal and external Cullen & Danowski hosted accounting workshops.
